Create an 11"x17" poster that utilizes:
Typography Hierarchy:
A title (1-3 words) that takes up most of the poster
Description that is much smaller (5-10 words)
Illustrations created/traced by you
Intertwine with parts of the letters (using the "Intertwine" vector effect in Illustrator)
Related to the text/content of the poster
Brainstorm your poster's content:
Title (1-3 words)
Description (5-10 words)
Illustrations that you will intertwine
Color Scheme (background, text, illustrations)

If you don't want to come up with something yourself you can choose one of the following ideas:
Create a poster for a scuba diving competition, title: "Scuba Diving Championships", smaller text: "Monterey Bay Aquarium, August 10th" with ocean wave illustrations intertwined with the text
Create a poster for a pasta-making class, title: "Pasta Making", smaller text: "3 Hour Course, Sign up Online" with spaghetti illustrations intertwined with the text
Create a poster for a museum exhibit on snakes, title "Reptiles, Reptiles, Reptiles", smaller text: "Natural History Museum, Coming Soon" with snake illustrations intertwined with the text
Open Creative Cloud from your Dock.
In Creative Cloud, in the "Apps" tab, click "Open" next to "Illustrator"
Click "Create New"
Select "Tabloid" in the "New Document" pop-up
Tabloid: 11"x17"
Create a background color
Typeset your title and description
Draw/trace your illustrations/graphics
you can do this in Fresco with vector graphics, export as pdf and copy to Illustrator if you want
Make sure to hide any reference photos (only your drawn/traced illustrations should show)
Use the "Intertwine" effect
Go to "File" > "Save As..."
Click "Save on your computer"
Click the down arrow to the right of "Where"
Choose "My Drive" > "Graphic Design 2" > "3 - Typography"
Change the name to "SUMMATIVE: Intertwined Poster"
Change the Format to "Adobe PDF (pdf)"
Click "Save"
Click "Save PDF"
In Finder:
Right-click on "Graphic Design 2" and click "Copy link to clipboard"
Paste the link in Canvas.
