Open Finder
On the left side, scroll down to "Locations" and click "Google Drive" (NOT "My Drive")
Click "Shared drives" > "Graphic Design 2 Templates"
Double-Click "SUMMATIVE TShirt Poster.ai" to open.
Go to "File" > "Save As..."
Click "Save to Creative Cloud"
Click "Save"
On the right side of the template are the different t-shirt bases.
Move over whichever bases you used (color, and side of the t-shirt).
For example, on the right this is if I designed the front and back of a white t-shirt.
You can adjust the size(s) on the poster however you'd like.
Open your t-shirt Illustrator file.
Click "Select" > "All"
Copy: On your keyboard click "Cmd" + "C" (or right-click "Copy")
Go to your Poster Illustrator file.
In the Layers panel, choose the "T-Shirt Design" layer.
Paste: On your keyboard click "cmd" + "V" (or right-click "Paste")
Group: Click "cmd" + "G" (or right-click "Group")
Adust the size
Go to: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/101lTxhB8mw-4uVhUYTayuLGHRd0cCtUT
Choose which photo(s) from your folder that you want to use.
Download and add to your "My Drive" > "1 - Production" folder.
Drag over to Illustrator
Embed (at the bottom of the "Properties" tab)
In the "Layers" panel, go to the "Background"
Use the rectangle tool to cover the artboard.
Use the Color Picker to choose a color for your background.
Your poster must include:
Title
Designed by: First Name
You can add any other text you would like.
Add more to your poster (text, drawings, etc.) to make your poster unique
Because your file is saved on Creative Cloud, it will be a ".aic" file - this means Illustrator saves your file every 5 minutes.
If you see an asterisk (*), that means there are unsaved changes.
To save, in the top menu, click "File" > "Save"
If "Save" is grayed out, it means your file has already been automatically saved.
Go to "File" > "Save As..."
Click "Save on your computer"
Click the down arrow to the right of "Where"
Choose "My Drive" > "Graphic Design 2" > "1 - Production"
Change the Format to "Adobe PDF (pdf)"
Click "Save"
Click "Save PDF"
In Finder:
Right-click on "Graphic Design 2" and click "Copy link to clipboard"
Paste the link in Canvas.
